The wait is finally over as Apple has launched the latest iPhone SE (2020). The new iPhone SE is the most affordable iPhone model in Apple’s current lineup.
iPhone SE (2020) overview
The new iPhone SE (2020) has a 4.7-inch Retina HD IPS LCD display. It has 750×1334 pixels resolution with True Tone tech on the front to adjust white balance.
Design-wise, the new iPhone SE (2020) looks very similar to the iPhone 8. This smartphone is powered by the latest A13 Bionic chip, and runs on and iOS 13. It measures 138.4×67.3×7.3mm and weighs 148 grams. It is built using durable glass and aerospace-grade aluminum. It also comes with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
The new iPhone SE also has a single 12-megapixel camera sensor (f/1.8 aperture + OIS) at the back. There is also a LED True Tone flash with Slow Sync for low light photography. It supports Smart HDR for photos and 4K video recording at up to 60 fps.
Although this smartphone comes with single rear camera setup, it offers a Portrait mode. This uses computational photography technology powered by the Neural Engine supported on the Apple A13 Bionic SoC.
For selfies and video chat, the new iPhone SE has a 7-megapixel camera in the front, with an f/2.2 aperture. The front-facing camera supports 1080p video recording at 30 fps.
The new iPhone SE retains the same Touch ID fingerprint recognition feature like iPhone 5s through iPhone 8.
Apple continues its tradition not to reveal RAM and battery capacity exactly of its devices. But thanks to a listing found at China Telecom’s website.
iPhone SE (202) has a 3 GB RAM. It is backed by a 1,821 mAh – exactly the same as the iPhone 8.
The new iPhone SE also supports wireless and fast charging. It supports 18W fast charging that can charge the phone up to 50 percent in 30 minutes. As you know, Apple won’t provide a fast charger in the box. You would get the same 5W charger in the box.
