Huawei launched its latest budget smartphone named Huawei Y8p. It seems to be a rebranded version of Huawei Enjoy 10s launched in China last year.
This month the company launched a few smartphones name Huawei Y5P and Huawei Y6P are two entry-level smartphones and Y8s in the mid-range.
Huawei Y8p overview
Huawei Y8p has a 6.3-inch OLCD display having a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. This comes with a water-drop style notch. The size of the notch is small and perfectly contains the selfie camera.
This phone has a triple rear camera setup having 48 MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, 8MP ultrawide camera with f/2.4 aperture, and 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The main camera comes with the SuperSpectrum sensor that is Huawei’s marketing name for RYYB sensors.
For selfies, this phone has a 16 MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture on the front. The front camera is equipped inside the water-drop style notch. In terms of videos, this smartphone can capture 1080p videos in 30fps.

Y8p is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 710F chipset and runs on EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10. But there is no Google Play Services. You will get the Huawei AppGallery and related services on this smartphone. Most of the commonly used apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, etc. are available inside the AppGallery.
It is available in two variants like 128GB storage + 4GB RAM, 128GB storage + 6GB RAM. You can expand the storage via a Nano Memory card up to 256GB. There is also an under-display fingerprint sensor on this smartphone.
In terms of connectivity, this includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, etc. This phone measures 157.4×73.2×7.75mm and weighs 163 grams.
This smartphone is backed by a 4000 mAh battery with the 10W charging speed.

Huawei has listed this Y8p on the global website but the pricing and availability details haven’t been announced yet. The company’s Belarus site revealed the price for BYN 549 (roughly Rs. 17,100).
The Huawei Y8p will be available in Breathing Crystal and Midnight Black color options. This smartphone will go on sale in Belarus from May 29. The international pricing and availability details should be announced soon.
