Xiaomi officially launched Mi 10 5G smartphone in India. This is the first premium smartphone under Mi branding to reach India.
Xiaomi released the Mi 10 and the Mi 10 Pro earlier this year in China. Then both the models hit European markets. Today, Xiaomi is bringing the Mi 10 5G (without the Pro model) to India after many years of focus on the mid-range in the country.
Mi 10 5G overview
The Xiaomi Mi 10 5G has a 6.67-inch full-HD+ 3D curved E3 AMOLED display with 1,080×2,340 pixels resolutions. It has a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch-sampling rate, and comes with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with a hole-punch design making space for the selfie camera.
Mi 10 5G houses a quad rear camera setup having 108 MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, a 13 MP ultrawide camera with f/2.4 aperture, a 2 MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture and 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The rear cameras are aligned in a vertical design module.
For selfies, this phone has a 20 MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture on the front. In terms of videos, this smartphone can capture 8K video at up to 30fps and 4K video at up to 60fps.
You would get an in-display fingerprint sensor in this phone. This smartphone measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 9 mm and weighs 208 grams.
Mi 10 5G smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, octa-core processor, and runs on MIUI 11 based on Android 10.
For connectivity, this includes include 5G, 4G LTE, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, NFC (select markets), infrared (IR) blaster, and more.
Mi 10 5G is backed by a 4,780 mAh battery that also supports charging up to 30 W both wired and wirelessly. This smartphone also provides 10W reverse wireless charging.

Mi 10 5G will be available in two configurations in India. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option priced at $660 (roughly Rs. 49,990) and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs $730 (roughly Rs. 54,990).
However, the company hasn’t released the top-notch 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model of the Mi 10 5G in India yet.
This smartphone will be available in Coral Green, Twilight Grey color options. It will go on pre-orders via Mi.com and Amazon starting at 2pm today, i.e. May 8. But the company hasn’t shared the availability details yet.
Launch offers on the Mi 10 5G will have a cashback offer worth up to Rs. 3,000 if the transactions made through HDFC Bank cards. Customers who pre-order the smartphone will also get the Mi Wireless Power Bank 10000mAh worth Rs. 2,499. Moreover, customers purchasing the phone through the online or offline channel will get no-cost EMI options.
