Microsoft Launched Surface Go 2, Surface Book 3, and Other Accessories

Microsoft has officially launched a series of products and accessories like the new Surface Go 2 tablet, Surface Book 3 laptop, Surface Earbuds, Surface Headphones 2, Surface Dock 2, and USB-C Travel Hub.

Microsoft Surface series laptops have some of the best laptops on the market. For premium design, solid hardwires and features keep Surface devices at the top of the list.

Surface Go 2

The new Microsoft Surface Go 2 tablet has a 10.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1280-pixel. This is Microsoft’s smallest and most portable Surface device. It measures 245mm x 175mm x 8.3mm. It weighs just 553g without the keyboard cover.

The new Surface Go 2 tablet has a magnesium body design with an integrated kickstand. Like the previous generation Surface Go tablet, it also supports Active Pen for pen input.

It is available in two different CPU options. One is Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y and another one is the 8th Gen Intel Core m3 CPU. The graphics card is the same on both i.e Intel UHD Graphics 615.

You can choose from 4GB or 8GB of RAM and either 64GB of eMMC or 128GB SSD storage options. If you want to expand the storage then there is a micro SD card slot that supports up to a 1TB micro SD card.

There is a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and 1080p HD video calling. The rear camera is 8MP that can record video in 1080p and has autofocus support.

Microsoft has not revealed the exact battery capacity. But the claims it will last up to 10 hours with regular usage.

The base model has an Intel Pentium Gold processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC storage is starting at $399.99 (approximately Rs. 30,500). The high-end model having 8th Gen Intel Core m3 CPU and 8GB of RAM with a 128GB SSD is priced at $629 (approximately Rs. 47,970) or optionally $729 (approximately Rs. 55,595) with integrated LTE.

The Surface Go 2 will be available in silver color. The Covers will be available multiple color options like Platinum, Black, Poppy Red, and Ice Blue. The tablet will go on sale starting May 12 in various countries like US, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, and other European countries.

Surface Book 3

Surface Book 3 is available in two different sizes like a 13.5-inch and a 15-inch model. The 13.5-inch model has a 3000×2000 PixelSense touchscreen display and the 15-inch model has a 3240×2160 PixelSense touchscreen display.

The 13.5-inch measures 312 mm x 232 mm x 15 mm-23 and weighs 3.62lbs (1.64kg). That range for thickness measurement is because there is a slope to the device. The 15-inch version measures 343 mm x 251 mm x 15 mm-23 mm and weighs 4.20lbs (1.9kg).

Surface Book 3 13.5-inch model, has two different CPU options either an Intel Core i5-1035G7 or Core i7-1065G7. But the 15-inch model has only one option i.e Intel Core i7-1065G7.

The 13.5-inch i5 model comes with the Intel Iris Plus Graphics card and the i7 model has an Nvidia GTX 1650 MaxQ with 4GBs of GDRR5 VRAM. The 15-inch model has a GTX 1660 Ti with 6GBs of GDDR6 VRAM.

The 13.5-inch model connected to the keyboard has an estimated battery life of 15.5 hours in typical use conditions and the premium 15-inch model connected to the keyboard, an estimated battery of 17.5 hours in typical use conditions.

The 13.5-inch model having 1.2GHz Core i5 CPU, integrated graphics, 8GB of RAM and 256GB NVMe SSD starts at $1,599 (approximately Rs. 1,21,940). The 15-inch version with 1.3GHz Core i7 CPU, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, 32GB of RAM and 2TB NVMe SSD, will be available at $3,399 (approximately Rs. 2,59,200). Surface Book 3 will go on sale starting in late May internationally.

Microsoft Surface Headphones 2

Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 is an improved version from the previous one. It comes with better sound quality, 13 levels of ambient noise reduction, and extended battery life.

On-ear dials can help you to adjust volume and set background sound cancellation. It would have 20 hours of battery life.

The Surface Headphones 2 will be available in black or platinum color options and priced at $249 (approximately Rs. 18,990). It will go on sale from May 12 internationally.

Microsoft Surface Earbuds

The Surface Earbuds are a brand new lineup from Microsoft. It is a comfortable fit and touch controls. It can be integrated with Spotify. Three sets of silicone ear tips are equipped inside. It also comes with an IPX4 rating for water resistance.

Battery life is said to be 24 hours in total including the earbuds and the charging case. A 10-minute charge can deliver up to one hour of use. 

The Microsoft Surface Earbuds will be available in Glacier color and priced at $199 (approximately Rs. 15,175). It will be available on May 12.

Accessories

In addition to the above products, Microsoft also released some other accessories. The company released two new docks, Microsoft USB-C Travel Hub and Surface Dock 2.

The USB-C Travel Hub has ports like USB-C, VGA, Ethernet, HDMI, and a full USB-A port. The Surface Dock 2 has ports like 3.5mm headphone jack, 2 USB-C, 2 full-sized USB-A ports, Ethernet port, and 2 Display Port over USB-C.

The Microsoft USB-C Travel Hub will be available at $99.99 and the Surface Dock 2 costs $259.99.

The company also released two new mouse and keyboard bundles. The Microsoft Ergonomic Desktop bundle has an ergonomic keyboard and mouse. The Microsoft Bluetooth Desktop bundle comes with a slim and compact keyboard and mouse. It will cost $89.99 for both bundles of mouse and keyboard.
