Animations in MIUI 12 are not just on the home screen and the control center. You can see this in different menus within Settings. The new animations can be found in the battery capacity and battery usage graphs, storage space indicator, etc.
Navigation gestures
Navigation gestures get an update with new animation. Now you can see full-screen navigation gestures.

You will get floating windows in the new MIUI 12. This is inspired by a desktop and offer the same multi-window experience. Apps that support this feature can be opened in a floating window. This will be visible in a small section of the display with the app preview and can be opened on tap on top of other apps.
Forced dark mode
The forced dark mode is also a new feature in the MIUI 12. This provides an improved Dark Mode to certain apps. This is very similar to the feature on some Realme devices running ColorOS 6.

With the new update, the app interface gets visually enhanced redesign.
