Samsung officially unveiled its latest laptop named Samsung Galaxy Book S (2020). The company launched the Galaxy Book S model, the first time powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx processor last year.
But the latest model comes with Intel Lakefield chipset. This is basically the same laptop as we have seen before, but now it has the shiny “Intel Inside” sticker.

Samsung Galaxy Book S (2020) comes with a 13.3-inch full-HD display with a touchscreen panel. There are thick bezels on the sides and the top as well.
A fan-less design makes the Galaxy Book S (2020) model slimmer than traditional laptops and helps it to run noiselessly. For video calling, this laptop has a 1MP camera on the top bezel.
Samsung Galaxy Book S is powered by the Intel Core i5-L16G7 Lakefield chipset. Lakefield, This is the first hybrid CPU from Intel. This chipset combines Atom and Core CPU cores into a single unit. It offers high-performance and low-power cores to maximize efficiency.

Other specifications include 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB or 512GB of eUFS storage and Intel UHD Graphics. There is also a microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 1TB of extra storage.
The device weighs in at 950 grams and measures 305.2 x 203.2 x 6.2 mm with just 11.8mm at its thickest point. It runs Windows 10 Home or Pro operating system. For better sound, it features a quad stereo speaker setup tuned by AKG with Dolby Atmos support.
In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 6, LTE connectivity, two USB Type-C ports, multi-media card reader, Bluetooth 5.0, built-in fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Galaxy Book S (2020) backed by a 42Wh battery that is said to deliver up to 17 hours of video playback time.

Samsung Galaxy Book S (2020) is priced at EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 84,000). It will be available in Earthy Gold and Mercury Gray color options.
First, it will be available in the UK in June but the exact date is not clarified. Then it will be available in other markets but we have no official announcement on this. The company may bring this laptop soon to other markets.
