Vivo’s gamer-centric sub-brand iQOO launched its latest smartphone named iQOO Z1. This is the first smartphone to have MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC.
We heard a lot of rumors about this phone. iQOO also teased that they are working on a new phone having MediaTek’s latest chipset.
iQOO Z1 overview
The iQOO Z1 has a 6.57-inch full-HD+ LCD display with 1,080×2,408 pixels resolutions. It has a 144Hz refresh rate display. It comes with a hole-punch design making space for two selfie cameras.
iQOO Z1 houses a triple rear camera setup having 48 MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8 MP ultrawide camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 2 MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The rear cameras are aligned on the top left corner of the smartphone positioned vertically.
For selfies, It has 16 MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture on the front. The selfie shooter is present in the top right corner of the display.
iQOO Z1 smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC and runs on iQOO UI 1.0 based on Android 10.
This smartphone is equipped with Multi-Turbo 3.5 for performance boosting and liquid cooling heat dissipation. The company claims that the liquid cooling technology reduces the temperature of the smartphone by 10-12 degrees Celsius.
You would get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor in this phone. This smartphone measures 164 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm and weighs 195 grams.
For connectivity, this includes include 5G, 4G LTE, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, A-GPS, NFC, infrared (IR) blaster, and more.
This smartphone is backed by a 4,500 mAh battery that also supports charging up to 44 W. This smartphone also supports Vivo Super Flash Charge 2.0. It capable of charging the smartphone up to 50% in just about 20 minutes.

iQOO Z1 is available in 3 variants. The iQOO Z1 5G 6GB + 128GB storage variant price is set at CNY 2,198 (roughly Rs. 23,400) the 8GB + 128GB storage option costs CNY 2,498 (roughly Rs. 26,600) and the top 8GB + 256GB storage model will retail at CNY 2,798 (roughly Rs. 29,800).
The smartphone will be available in Galaxy Silver and Space Blue color options.
In the iQOO Z1 launch event the company also released some accessories for the device. These include a pair of neckband-style wireless earbuds, 3D texturized covers, and a Bluetooth controller with an analog joystick.
The above accessories will go on sale alongside the smartphone. Customers who will purchase these items with an iQOO Z1 also get a discounted price.
Pre-orders for this smartphone has already started through Vivo’s official website in China. iQOO will be available for pre-booking through other eCommerce platforms starting from 25 May. The first sale is scheduled for June 1 in China. The global launch date and availability of the iQOO Z1 5G smartphone are yet to be revealed.
